With summer now upon us, our teams have been incredibly busy working and socialising with brokers at a number of events. Here’s what they’ve been up to in June and July.
Earlier this month the team headed up to Burton-on-Trent to attend White Rose’s annual network conference alongside 26 other partner lenders.
Held at St George’s Park, the event kicked off with an informative Q&A with senior industry figures, before an exhibition in the afternoon which allowed the White Rose network to get to know their BDM, Gareth Hargreave, who they often interact with on the phone.
We’re glad to say that our stand was busy all day, with many people coming to learn how they can add unsecured funding to their property brokerage, and several unsecured brokers coming to chat about deals.
We’ve had great feedback from White Rose so far, with their Appointed Representative network telling us they have enjoyed working with Gareth – and appreciate being able to tap into his knowledge and ability to assess a business based on its financials, to help the broker make an informed decision before submitting the application.
“He is open and honest in his approach and always returns calls to the Appointed Representatives which is something we’ve had many comments on since he joined,” an associate at White Rose told us. “We were delighted to have Funding Circle on board for the event and look forward to next year.”
For the second year running, we were delighted to be invited as Patrons to the NACFB Summer Party, held on 7th July at the Honourable Artillery Company headquarters in London.
Thankfully the sun shone all day as over 350 NACFB members, patrons, partners and special guests came together to relax and celebrate success. The afternoon saw guests battling to be crowned champion of French Cricket and Boules, while enjoying a sizzling summer BBQ and a few refreshments at the bar.
Commenting on the party, managing director Norman Chambers said: “Another fantastic afternoon full of laughs and only a little shop talk. It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet the many new members, patrons and partners who have joined the Association over the last 12 months.”
At the end of June our south-based BDMs took their brokers for a day out at Royal Ascot, to celebrate their successes of the first half of the year. Joined by six brokerages as well as multiple members of our broker team, the group enjoyed a day of racing as well as the royal procession as the sun shone down.
It’s been great to celebrate with our brokers in person so much this month, and we’re already looking forward to the next events on our roster.
