NACFB Awards wrap-up

The NACFB Commercial Lender Awards 2023 were celebrated at a gala event on 30th November at the Westminster Park Plaza hotel in London. Held annually, the Awards recognise excellence amongst lenders in the commercial finance broker sector.

We’re delighted to announce that Funding Circle won the Unsecured Funder of the Year Award. The award was presented by comedian and TV presenter Dara Ó Briain, and received by – in a break from the convention of the evening – over 30 of the Funding Circle Broker team, reflecting the team-spirit and togetherness that are so central to our culture.

Our new Head of Broker, Rachael Raymond, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to win this award and, as a result, gain the recognition that comes from the NACFB, its judging panel and its members. We’re absolutely committed to helping our brokers deliver fast, easy funding for their clients, and ultimately say ‘yes’ to more businesses than ever. This award gives us confidence that we are delivering against that goal.”

The Awards are decided by a combination of independent judges and NACFB member votes from a shortlist of 73 firms. NACFB Chair Paul Goodman commented: “To be shortlisted alone is a great achievement and testament to the esteem in which our Patron lenders and Partner service providers are held, not just by NACFB Members but also by the panel of independent, expert judges who helped determine the recipients of this year’s accolades.”

The evening also raised lots of money for the NACFB’s charity partner, The Newman Holiday Trust, an entirely volunteer-led organisation which arranges holidays for children with special needs.
