To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each individual or business entity that applies for a loan with Funding Circle USA, or one of its lending partners. Federal law also requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies the beneficial owners of a business entity that applies for a loan or establishes a customer relationship.
When you apply for a loan or enter into a new customer relationship with Funding Circle USA, or one of its lending partners, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents. In addition, when you apply for a loan or enter into a new customer relationship with Funding Circle USA, or one of its lending partners, on behalf of a business entity, we will ask for the names, addresses, dates of birth and other identification information of the beneficial owners of the business entity. This information will be used to verify your identity and, in the case of the business entity, the identity of the beneficial owners.
