Small Business Week Contest

At Funding Circle, we love supporting small businesses!  Please read the following rules that apply to this Small Business Week Contest:

The Small Business Week Contest is sponsored by Funding Circle USA, Inc. (“Funding Circle”). This Contest is in no way sponsored by, endorsed by, administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Twitter.

The Prizes

Funding Circle will give away three prizes: $250 worth of goods for the first-place winner, $150 worth of goods for the second-place winner, and $100 worth of goods for the third-place winner.  Prize value shall be redeemed for goods or services selected by the winners from any one of the small businesses listed in 2017 holiday gift guide, found here, 2018 Valentine’s Day gift guide, found here, or 2015 gift guide, found here (each a “Prize”). Prizes will be awarded to the top three Eligible Entrants as defined and described below.

Eligible Entrants

To be eligible for the prize drawing (an “Eligible Entrant”), a person must post a picture of their United States located workplace with a brief description to Funding Circle’s Facebook or Twitter Small Business Week Contest posts on or after April 23, 2018 and on or before May 5, 2018 (all dates as of Pacific Standard Time). Limit one post per person and one post per business. Subsequent posts will not be eligible for the prize drawing.

Entrants may not submit content that contains any elements that violate a third party’s intellectual property rights including copyrights, trademark rights, privacy rights, or publicity rights. Content should not depict any individuals that have not granted permission to be featured or make false or defamatory statements. Photos that violate The Digital Millennium Copyright Act and the Communications Decency Act of 1996 will be disqualified upon knowledge of violation.

Selection of a Winner

The winners will be selected from all Eligible Entrants based on the greatest number of likes their photo garners as of 11:59pm May 5, 2018. First-place will be awarded to the Eligible Entrant whose photo has the most likes, second-place to the Eligible Entrant whose photo has the second-most likes, and third-place will go to the third-most liked submission. Multiple likes from the same account will be counted as one like. Winners will be notified of their prizes on or by May 11, 2018, via the social media platform used to enter the Small Business Contest. In the event of a tie, the winner shall be chosen based on the first in time photo posted.

Redeeming the Prizes

Winners will have until June 1, 2018 to inform Funding Circle of the items they would like to purchase from the eligible small businesses. Winners may be asked to supply additional contact information, including a valid United States mailing address, in order to receive selected items. All items may be shipped at standard rates. Winners are responsible for all applicable taxes. Funding Circle reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is not available.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

BY PARTICIPATING IN THIS SMALL BUSINESS WEEK CONTEST, YOU RELEASE FROM LIABILITY AND AGREE NOT TO SUE FUNDING CIRCLE, FACEBOOK, OR TWITTER, AND THEIR EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, AND DIRECTORS FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS WHICH MAY RESULT FROM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THIS SMALL BUSINESS WEEK CONTEST OR ANY EVENTS INCIDENTAL TO THIS CONTEST. ADDITIONALLY, NEITHER FACEBOOK NOR TWITTER HAVE NOT SPONSORED, ENDORSED, OR ADMINISTERED, AND ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SMALL BUSINESS WEEK CONTEST.
